Cette charmante MG B était au Canada avant de retraverser l’Atlantique vers la France. Elle compte parmi les dernières MK I et dispose à ce titre du moteur à 5 paliers et de la barre anti-roulis. Achetée par le père de son actuel propriétaire en 1985, notamment parce qu’elle était conforme à l’origine, mais également parce qu’elle disposait d’un rare hard-top « Bermuda » dont les vitrages permettent une excellente visibilité. La carrosserie fut restaurée au début des années 90, et le moteur a été refait au début des années 2000.

La peinture bleue a été refaite il y a environ 3 ans, tout en conservant les jantes tôle d’origine trop souvent remplacées par des jantes à rayons. Autre détail : une véronique chromée est présente sur la malle de coffre. A bord, la sellerie en skaï a une très jolie patine, cependant, pour les amateurs préférant un aspect plus neuf, un jeu de housse sera fourni avec la voiture. Equipée d’un échappement inox, d’un volant sport accessoire, et d’une paire d’antibrouillard Marchal installés derrière la calandre, cette MG B a été utilisée et entretenue par la même famille ces 40 dernières années. Elle n’attend qu’un nouveau gentleman driver pour circuler cheveux au vent, ou bien étonner passants et connaisseurs avec son hard-top original.

This charming MG B was in Canada before crossing the Atlantic back to France. It is one of the last MK I models and therefore features the five-bearing engine and anti-roll bar. This example was acquired by the father of its current owner in 1985, mainly because it was in original condition and it also had a rare “Bermuda” hardtop with windows that provide excellent visibility. The bodywork was restored in the early 1990s and the engine was rebuilt in the early 2000s.

 

The blue paint was redone 3 years ago approximately, while retaining the original steel rims (too often replaced by wire wheels). Another detail: chromed luggage rack on the boot lid. On board, the faux leather upholstery has a very nice patina however, for enthusiasts preferring a more modern look, a set of covers will be supplied with the car. Fitted with a stainless-steel exhaust, an optional sports steering wheel and a pair of Marchal fog lights fitted behind the grille, this MG B was used and serviced by the same family for the past 40 years. This car now awaits a new enthusiast to drive around with the wind in his/her hair; or to amaze passersby and connoisseurs with its original hardtop.
