Il aurait probablement été conçu par la maison Van Cleef & Arpels, qui entretint une longue collaboration avec la marque de cosmétiques Revlon pour la création d’étuis à rouge à lèvres en or ou en métal précieux.

Provenance : according to family tradition, this charming lipstick set is said to have been specially commissioned for the famous British writer Agatha Christie, who is said to have subsequently given it personally to the mother of the current owner.

This rare set is of genuine cultural and historical interest, reflecting the renewed elegance and aesthetic revival of the post-war period. It was probably designed by Van Cleef & Arpels, which had a long-standing collaboration with the cosmetics brand Revlon on the creation of lipstick cases in gold or precious metals.
