Cette 2CV Type A a un historique limpide qui explique son état de préservation exceptionnel. Elle a été vendue neuve par le grand-père de l’actuel propriétaire qui était agent Citroën et son premier propriétaire a conservé la 2CV en prenant grand soin, jusqu’en 1980, lorsqu’il la revendit au même agent Citroën, alors qu’elle ne totalisait que 32 000 km d’origine ! Elle a depuis été conservée dans la même famille et n’a parcouru qu’un peu moins de 34 500 km depuis l’origine. Bien évidemment, la mécanique 375 cm3 est celle d’origine, et la voiture a conservé tous ses détails spécifiques au millésime. Les soubassements, point faible du modèle, sont parfaitement sains. Outre son état de préservation rarissime pour un tel millésime, cet exemplaire est doté d’une intéressante porte de malle accessoire « Raoul » qui permettait d’accroître sensiblement la capacité du coffre. On retrouve d’ailleurs au fond de celui-ci le marquage propre aux 1ères versions « Bagages Max. 50 kg ». Les premières versions de 2CV sont recherchées des collectionneurs, mais il faudra chercher longtemps avant de retrouver un exemplaire dans un tel état d’origine, avec si peu de kilomètres.

This 2CV Type A has a clear history which accounts for its exceptionally well-preserved condition. It was sold new by its current owner’s grandfather, a Citroën dealer, and its first owner kept the 2CV and took great care of it until 1980, when he sold it back to the same dealer, after it had clocked up only 32,000 km from new! Since then, it has remained with the same family and has covered just under 34,500 km from new. Naturally, the 375 cc engine is the original unit and the car has retained all the details specific to the model year. The underbody, a weak point of the model, is perfectly sound. Apart from its exceedingly rare state of preservation for a model from this year, this example has an interesting ‘Raoul’ accessory boot lid, which significantly increases the luggage capacity. At the bottom of this is the marking specific to the first versions: ‘Bagages Max. 50 kg’. The first versions of the 2CV are sought after by collectors, but you would need to search for a long time before finding an example in such original condition and with such low mileage.
