A Louis-Philippe gilt-bronze mounted, mahogany and rosewood bureau a caissons

CONDITION REPORT :

Good overall condition despite the inevitable wears and marks in accordance with age and use. No obvious accidents. Some small scratches, marks and few traces of gouging to the veneer of the upper drawers. The gilt mounts are probably associated, as stated in the catalogue description. One small accident to the tip of the bronze mount decorating the front of the bureau. The right hand side knob is detached and would benefit from consolidation. Both of the dolphin-carved ornaments decorating the upper area of the desk are associated, as stated in the catalogue description. Two vertical splits to the right hand side area of the desk and two (already previously restored) to the left hand side area. Some small shocks to the exposed areas of the plinth. Elegant and highly decorative piece. Ready to be used.
