A Louis XVI gilt-bronze mounted and mahogany demi-lune commode, indistinctly stamped
CONDITION REPORT :
Good overall condition despite the inevitable shocks and losses in accordance with age and use. Scratches, marks and some stains to the marble top. Some minor chips to the external molding of the marble top. Some wears to the gilding. Gilt bronze mounts are associated. One shrinkage crack to the veneer (lower area of the left-hand side door). One loss to the veneer (upper area of the front right hand side foot). Accidents to the front right hand side foot and to the two rear feet which would benefit from consolidation.
