A Regence style gilt-bronze mounted, ebonised and brass inlaid bureau plat, by Maison Mailfert

CONDITION REPORT :
Good overall condition despite the inevitable wears and marks in accordance with age and use. No obvious major accidents. Wears to the gilding which is tarnished in exposed areas, as expected. Some scratches, stains and traces of gouging the veneer's varnish of the bureau's top. Marks and shocks to the veneer's varnish to the rear area of the bureau. The handle decorating the rear left hand side drawer is detached from the bureau itself and would need to be refixed. Elegant model with great proportions and good potential.
