Selon son certificat d'authenticité délivré par Porsche, cette voiture a été livrée neuve le 21 décembre 1973 au distributeur de Jacksonville, en Floride aux États-Unis. Elle était de teinte "Grand Prix Weiss" avec une sellerie en cuir rouge et des vitres teintées. Son "Certificate of title" américain laisse apparaître qu'elle est restée entre les mêmes mains de 1987 à 2007 avant d'être vendue à un automobiliste de Lake Worth, qui l'a lui-même cédée en 2011 à un passionné allemand basé à Schweinfurt. Après l'avoir importée dans son pays, celui-ci l'a fait entièrement restaurer, aussi bien sur le plan cosmétique que mécanique, avec une mise à nu de la carrosserie, tout en faisant installer par Knüpfing Motorsport, d'Estenfeld, un moteur préparé dans l’esprit des 3 litres RS et développant près de 240 ch. Nous avons dans le dossier une copie de la facture des pièces chez ce spécialiste. Une expertise de Classic Data effectuée après la remise en état attribue la note 1, la meilleure possible, à cette voiture. Elle est en effet dans un bel état, avec sa peinture blanc "Grand Prix" agrémentée d'inscriptions Carrera posées sur les flancs, son aileron arrière en bec de canard rappelant la Carrera RS et ses jantes Fuchs noires avec cerclage chromé. L'intérieur est magnifique, avec des sièges refaits dans un superbe cuir rouge qui recouvre aussi les contreportes, une moquette rouge avec tapis noirs et un tableau de bord impeccable.

Cette voiture traduit l'admiration d'un passionné pour la Carrera 3.0 RS dont il a souhaité se rapprocher sur le plan esthétique et technique. Il en résulte une belle 911 S, dont l'allure sportive correspond à des performances plus brillantes que la version de base.

According to its certificate of authenticity issued by Porsche, this car was supplied new on 21 December 1973 to the dealer in Jacksonville, Florida, in the United States. It was finished in ‘Grand Prix Weiss’ with red leather upholstery and tinted glass. Its American Certificate of Title shows that it had the same owner from 1987 to 2007 before being sold to a motorist from Lake Worth, who in turn sold it in 2011 to a German enthusiast in Schweinfurt. After importing the car into his home country, he had it completely restored, cosmetically and mechanically. The body was stripped to bare metal and he had Knüpfing Motorsport, from Estenfeld, install an engine tuned in the spirit of the 3.0-litre RS, producing nearly 240bhp. A copy of the bill for the parts from this specialist is included in the history file. A valuation report from Classic Data prepared after the restoration gave the car a rating of 1, the best possible. It is indeed in beautiful condition, with its ‘Grand Prix White’ paintwork enhanced by the Carrera logos on the sides of the car, its ducktail rear spoiler recalling the Carrera RS, and its black Fuchs wheels with chrome outer rings. The interior is magnificent, with seats retrimmed in superb red leather, which is also used for the door cards, red carpets with black overmats, and a faultless dashboard.

This car reflects one enthusiast’s admiration for the Carrera 3.0 RS and his desire to come close to that model, both technically and aesthetically. The result is a lovely 911 S, whose sporting looks match its improved performance compared with the standard version.
