Collection d’un amateur d’Aston Martin depuis plus de 40 ans

En 1978, Aston Martin présente le nouveau modèle cabriolet de la marque, la V8 Volante. Deuxième du nom après la DB6, celle-ci suit la ligne de la DBS. Après 656 exemplaires produits, la Série 2 est présentée en 1986 apportant quelques modifications et améliorations. La Série 2 restera en production jusqu'en 1989 et seulement 216 exemplaires auraient été produits.

L’exemplaire présenté a été vendu neuf en Allemagne par le concessionnaire Merz & Pabst de Stuttgart, ainsi qu’en atteste leur plaque apposée en pied d’aile avant. Immatriculé le 13 mai 1987, il s’agit de la version la plus recherchée : conduite à gauche équipée de la boîte de vitesses manuelle qui permet de profiter de manière optimale du puissant V8 injection. D’une rare distinction, avec sa magnifique livrée bleu nuit associée à un intérieur cuir gris dont les passepoils rappellent la couleur de la carrosserie, cette V8 Volante est dans un état de présentation exceptionnel. Elle est restée entre les mains de son premier propriétaire jusqu’à la fin des années 2000 et un dossier de factures témoigne de l’évolution de son kilométrage entre 1998 et 2005, alors qu’elle totalisait 36 228 km. Notre collectionneur, séduit par ses spécifications et son état, a pu en faire l’acquisition en 2015, alors qu’elle affichait à peine 40 000 km. Le beau cabriolet a aujourd’hui parcouru un peu moins de 58 000 km et a été conservé avec soin. La capote électrique est en bon état, tout comme l’habitable qui n’a pas souffert du soleil et affiche une fraicheur peu commune. Les pneumatiques ont été remplacés en 2025 et une révision d’usage vient d’être effectuée. Assurément parmi les plus beaux exemplaires sur le marché, cette Aston Martin provient d’une collection sélective dédiée à la marque, une occasion que l’on ne rencontre que très rarement.

In 1978, Aston Martin launched the brand’s new convertible model, the V8 Volante. Succeeding the DB6, it had a similar design to the DBS. Following a production of 656 examples, the Series 2 was introduced in 1986 and alongside it, some improvements and modifications. The Series 2 remained in production until 1989 and reportedly, only 216 examples were manufactured.

This particular example was sold new in Germany by the Mertz & Pabst in Stuttgart, as evidenced by the plate affixed around the front wing. Registered on the 13th May 1987, this is the most sought-after version: left-hand drive with a manual gearbox which enables you to fully enjoy the powerful injection of this V8 engine. This V8 Volante example is in exceptional condition and stands out thanks to its magnificent midnight blue livery combined with a grey leather interior and the piping matching the bodywork colour. It remained in the hands of its first owner until the end of the 2000s and a file of invoices bear witness to the evolution of its mileage between 1998 and 2005, totaling then 36,228 km. Impressed by its specifications and condition, our collector was able to acquire it in 2015 when the mileage was barely at 40,000 km on the clock.

This beautiful convertible has now covered just under 58,000 km and has been carefully preserved. The electric soft top is in good condition, as well as the interior which was not damaged from the sun and looks remarkably fresh. Tyres were replaced in 2015 and a standard service was recently carried out. Undoubtedly one of the finest examples on the market, this Aston Martin comes from a discerning collection dedicated to the brand. This is an opportunity that rarely presents itself.
