Ainsi que le confirme son certificat Porsche, ce cabriolet 356 a été délivré neuf le 26 janvier 1961 par Competition Motors à Hollywood, Californie. Propriété de Johnny Von Neumann, cette agence va contribuer de manière significative à l’essor de la marque aux USA, en vendant ses voitures aux stars de la région comme James Dean. De couleur « Gris héron – 6007 » avec intérieur en skaï, il était équipé du moteur de 75 cv. Resté dans la région d’Hollywood jusqu’en 1992, le beau cabriolet a ensuite été importé en Allemagne. N’ayant ensuite connu que deux propriétaires jusqu’en 2016, il est accompagné d’un important dossier d’entretien qui couvre la période 2002 – 2016 durant laquelle la voiture a parcouru environ 22 000 km. Son actuel propriétaire, collectionneur du modèle, l’a acheté en Allemagne alors que la voiture avait été restaurée et disposait d’un moteur de 75cv provenant une 356 C. En avril 2024, le véhicule a été confié au spécialiste ZS Style pour une révision générale et en parfaire le fonctionnement : mécanique déposée et contrôlée, graissage complet, vérification et réglage des freins… une facture de plus de 4200€ HT est présente dans le dossier, accompagnée d’un rapport d’expertise de mai 2024. As its Porsche certificate confirms, this 356 convertible was delivered new on 26th January 1961 by Competition Motors to Hollywood, California. It belonged to Johnny Von Neumann, an agency that significantly contributed to the popularity of the brand in the USA, selling its cars to local stars including James Dean. Painted “Heron Grey - 6007” with a leatherette interior, it was fitted with a 75 hp engine. It stayed in the Hollywood area until 1992, when it was imported into Germany. It only had two owners until 2016, and comes with an extensive maintenance file covering the 2002 - 2016 period, during which the car clocked up around 22,000 km. Its current owner, a collector of this model, bought it in Germany after the car had been restored and fitted with a 75hp engine from a 356 C. In April 2024, the car was entrusted to the specialist ZS Style for a general mechanical overhaul: mechanics removed and checked, complete lubrication, brakes adjusted and inspected... a bill for over €4,200 excluding VAT is included in the file, along with an appraisal report dated May 2024. This interesting cabriolet has beautiful midnight-blue fabric and leatherette upholstery, the soft top is in perfect condition and the dashboard is fitted with a Blaupunkt radio.
