A pair of Louis XV cream lacquered and parcel-gilt armchairs, stamped by Jean Avisse

CONDITION REPORT :
Fair overall condition. The catalogue illustration is slightly too dark. The seatrail has been reinforced by means of seatblocks on both armchairs. Both armchairs have been re-lacquered and regilt. Extensive scattered losses to the gilt and lacquered areas throughout on both armchairs. One tiny loss to the moulding of the lower area of the left hand side armrest on one of the two armchairs. Wears to the upholstery which is slightly faded. One small tear to the upholstery on one of the two armchairs (the area above the front left hand side foot). Very elegant model with great potential.
