A Moroccan Winter in preview in Paris

After the major success of its last auction in Marrakech in May 2021, which totalled €1.85 million, Artcurial Maroc is pleased to announce the sale of a Moroccan Winter.


For its 5th edition, this event, which has become a reference for art enthusiasts, will take place on 30 December 2021 at La Mamounia, Marrakech.


We invite you to discover a selection of the works which will be presented in this sale. Indeed, the auction will be split into three chapters and will bring together an eclectic and sophisticated set of works that will delight collectors from all over the world.



Étienne Dinet (1861-1929)

Majorelle and his Contemporaries

This chapter will be devoted to the masters of Orientalism such as Etienne Dinet, Eugène Girardet and Edy Legrand, who painted the landscapes and populations of the Orient with warm and luminous colour palettes.

Modern and Contemporary Moroccan and International Art

The second session will show the relationship between tradition and modernity in Morocco illustrated by the works of Mohammed Melehi or Hassan El Glaoui.


The session will also feature some of the greatest painters of Western Modern & Contemporary Art such as Henri Matisse, Joan Miro or Robert Combas.
