Console
A Louis XVI giltwood console
Estimate: €30,000-50,000

A LOUIS XVI GILTWOOD CONSOLE

I am particularly fond of the structure of this console, characterized by strongly graphic and architectural lines. The ideal piece of furniture to display your collection of African masks, Chinese porcelains and kinetic sculptures by Takis or Calder.

Miroir
A Regence giltwood mirror
Estimate: €4,000-6,000

A REGENCE GILTWOOD MIRROR

French classicism by definition… This object is able to blend elegantly with any decor; with its rich palm decoration, this mirror exudes a romantic freshness

Tapisserie
A Feuilles de Choux tapestry, second half of the 16th century, probably Marche workshops
Estimate: €8,000-12,000

A FEUILLES DE CHOUX TAPESTRY, SECOND HALF OF THE 16th CENTURY, PROBABLY MARCHE WORKSHOPS

This tapestry takes us back to a new modernity. I imagine this piece of lush and luxuriant nature hanging above a bronze console by Garouste and Bonetti and Italian lamps from the 1950s.

Sièges
A pair of Italian Empire mahogany armchairs
Estimate: €8,000-12,000

A PAIR OF ITALIAN EMPIRE MAHOGANY ARMCHAIRS

The strong and masculine lines of mahogany mixed with the flamboyance of Italian production of the early 19th century; all further enhanced by this leopard upholstery… these armchairs take on a new life.

Consoles
A pair of Louis XV grey painted wall-brackets
Estimate: €10,000-15,000

A PAIR OF LOUIS XV GREY PAINTED WALL-BRACKETS

This pair of Louis XV wall-brackets, with its imposing features could be used as « table de chevets » if placed slightly hanged on a wall in a bedroom with strongly contemporary lines. Pure amazement guaranteed!

All of these lots will be on display at the Hôtel Marcel Dassault from 11th to 15th December, alongside numerous other pieces such as a cabinet attributed to André-Charles Boulle and a magnificent Louis XV Coromandel lacquer commode, stamped by Mathieu Criaerd coming from a French aristocratic family. It will also feature a set of four Regence giltwood fauteuils à la reine, reappearing after last being seen in 1927 in the Polès collection. Several private Parisian collections will follow, as well as a silver liquor set by Odiot and a sumptuous 19th century Louis XIV style bibliothèque basse.
