Artcurial and Écoles du Monde are joining forces for the third time, for an auction that will take place on 17th November in Paris. More than 80 artists have responded to the invitation and are mobilising for the organisation. Among them, Enki Bilal, Jean-Paul Goude, François Schuiten, André Juillard, Sarah Moon, Jean-Jacques Sempé, Claude Viallat and Philippe Geluck. With an opening bid of €1,000 for each lot offered at auction, this sale will be an opportunity to discover exceptional contemporary works for a good cause.
The Écoles du Monde organisation has been working for education and health in Madagascar since 1997. “For 25 years, we have been carrying out a project that is close to our hearts, enabling children to attend school by creating 15 primary schools,” explains Charles Gassot, President of the Écoles du Monde Madagascar organisation. “Today, this project is developing and we are delighted to have the opportunity to consolidate this campus by creating the first vocational high school.” Designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the school will consolidate the campus and provide a boarding school for students from neighbouring regions. The aim of this sale is to raise funds to make this beautiful project a reality.
