An auction to benefit Cartier Philanthropy

On March 3rd, Artcurial will organise the sale of pieces of furniture that have decorated Cartier boutiques around the world in recent years. Of period or 18th century style, this ensemble reflects the taste of Louis Cartier and Jeanne Toussaint for French classicism, from which both drew to lay the foundations of the House's style. This sale will benefit the Cartier Philanthropy Foundation, which helps the most deprived populations worldwide. A second part of the collection will be offered for sale Online Only, from 1 to 8 March.
Maurice Houdayer Library

The Maurice Houdayer Library brings together the finest in illustrated books, fine bookbinding, and prints. Houdayer, an influential collector and patron of fine bookbinders, supported creative artisans for over thirty years. A great Art Deco lover, which is one of the main themes of his collection, he also appreciated contemporary pieces. His excellent taste guided him toward examples from the finest collections. His library will be auctioned over the course of three sales in 2021.
Kenzo Takada Collection

On 11th May, Artcurial will present the personal collection of Kenzo Takada, the emblematic fashion designer and creator of the Kenzo brand. The pieces of furniture, objects and artworks in his collection decorated the Rive Gauche apartment in Paris where the designer lived during the final years of his life. They embody a subtle balance between Eastern and Western influences, reflecting the timeless spirit of this creative genius.
African Contemporary Art
March, April & June 2021
The African Contemporary Art department, rapidly evolving after the arrival of its new director Christophe Person in late 2020, will hold 3 events during the first semester of 2021, alongside the Saison Africa2020 : a sale devoted to African Contemporary Art, showcasing an important Belgian collection of Congolese “artists of Le Hangar”, a second sale held at the legendary La Mamounia hotel in Marrakech in April, and an exceptional session devoted to the African contemporary art scene, held in Paris in June.
2nd edition: July 2021
Next July, Artcurial will organise the second edition of the Monaco Sculptures sale featuring sculptures of the 20th and 21st centuries at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo. The artworks in the auction will be exhibited from April at the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer institutions and in Artcurial’s office in the heart of Monte-Carlo. In 2019, the first edition of this sale met with great success, achieving nearly €5M, with impressive results for works by Kaws, Aristide Maillol, Arman, Philippe Hiquily, Manolo Valdes, and Bernar Venet.
Le Mans Classic
After the sales of the collections of André Trigano and André Lurton in 2020, both of which were highly successful with 100 % of lots sold, the Artcurial Motorcars team will invite automobile lovers to an exceptional sale in July: the 10th edition of the Le Mans Classic, on the legendary Circuit des 24 Heures.

For over 10 years Artcurial has enjoyed a special relationship with world-renowned artist Enki Bilal, as they together developed the Animal’z, Oxymore, Inbox and Ver(s)tige exhibitions. This fertile partnership will continue this year with two exceptional cultural exhibitions presented first in Artcurial’s Paris showrooms, and then in Marrakech at the Musée des Confluences - Dar El Bacha, in Marrakech.
