Great success for the winter session of the Monaco Auction Week

This week of sales was highlighted by great bidding battles at the legendary Hermitage Monte-Carlo hotel. These six successful auctions brought in nearly €8m for the Luxury and Art of Living specialties: Jewellery, Watches, Fashion & Luxury Accessories.
European and international collectors were particularly active, both in the auction room and remotely (on the Internet, by telephone or by purchase order). These results confirm Artcurial's leading position regarding these different specialties and on the Riviera.

Jewellery
For this winter edition, the Jewellery department presented 419 lots that shattered estimates, with a result of nearly €4,2m including fees.  The session was dominated by the Marchak ring set with a 5.01 ct diamond, which fetched €240,000, a magnificent Van Cleef & Arpels brooch that sold for €41,600, and the remarkable success of the last lots of the Repossi collection. In total, more than 80% of the lots found buyers. The success of these three auctions is due to the rigorous and diversified selection of the objects presented as well as to the variety of the lots: antique jewellery, artists' jewellery, signed jewellery...
