The Château de la Verdière is located at the top of the eponymous village, in the heart of Provence Verte and its Regional Park, with a 360° view.
Located 45 minutes from Aix-en-Provence and its TGV station, 1 hour from Marseille-Provence airport, between Manosque and Provence airport, between Manosque and Saint-Maximin and 20 minutes from the famous Gorges du Verdon.
Classified as a historical monument, this thousand-year-old building has been entirely restored with taste.
It covers 5,000 m² of floor space, spread over 5 levels, linked by 5 staircases and a lift. The 18th-century-inspired ceremonial rooms are decorated with exceptional gypseries, reputed to be the most beautiful in Provence. It offers more than 25 independent rooms or suites, each with all modern comforts and several terraces.
A 16-hectare walled park, gardens and ponds, two swimming pools, a horse-riding arena, a helipad and numerous outbuildings (several kitchens, including a professional one, spa, laundry rooms, caretaker's lodge and service flats, orangery, workshop, garages, hangar) reinforce its uniqueness.
The entrance to the château is via the main courtyard. The entrance hall leads to a majestic staircase illuminated by a zenithal glass roof which serves all the noble and living areas.
One of the service staircases leads to the private chapel, which is a tribune on the village parish church.
These various staircases allow easy circulation throughout the castle.
A service courtyard provides access to the castle's professional kitchen, independent accommodation (caretaker, gardener, etc.) as well as to the laundry room, the workshop, the garage, etc.
Finally, this majestic property offers 16 hectares of parkland with endemic species including 2 hectares of olive trees, a vast swimming pool with pool house, a riding arena and various outbuildings.
It has taken more than 15 years to restore this exceptional building to its former glory.
