In the second half of 2019 Artcurial, with its long-standing presence in Morocco, opened a subsidiary in Marrakech. This Artcurial Morocco "house" strengthens existing ties with local customers while developing Artcurial's reputation.
Under the direction of Olivier Berman and Soraya Abid, a team of 3 people develops several sales sessions per year, in Marrakech and Casablanca, as well as daily contact with the many customers. Artcurial continues to organize its sales of Orientalist Paintings and African Contemporary Art, two of the house's important specialties with direct links to the African continent. Since the opening of the subsidiary, these sales have taken place in the mythical La Mamounia palace in Marrakech. The Auction House will also organize sales of collections, thus highlighting the great wealth of Moroccan decorative arts, in fields as extensive as ceramics, glassware, furniture, textiles, jewellery and ancient weapons.
The teams of the Marrakech office are at your disposal all year round for free and confidential estimates of your works, covering all the fields proposed by our House, from Post-War & Contemporary Art to Orientalism through Jewellery, Fine Wine & Spirits, Motorcars or Watches.
Artcurial's specialists travel to Morocco by appointment and throughout the year to meet you, either at your home or at the Artcurial office.
With Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy and Monaco, Artcurial's Moroccan office strengthens the international network developed by the auction house.
