Trilingual in French, Dutch and English, Vinciane holds a degree in Art History in contemporary art from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and a diploma from CREPAC, majoring in Antique Dealing/Fine Art Broker Business Management. She also followed an additional course organised by IESA Belgium. Vinciane then joined Sotheby's, first in London, then in Brussels as an expert-liaison and later as Director of the Decorative Arts Departments. Since 2012, Vinciane de Traux is Director of the Belgium Artcurial office and manages the Benelux Artcurial activities, putting her skills, enthusiasm and network at the service of the auction house’s development.
Les 27 et 28 juin prochains, Artcurial met à l’honneur l’œuvre photographique de Dora Maar à travers 750 clichés répartis en près de 350 lots. Ces photographies pour la plupart inédites et intimes retracent entre autres ses années passées aux côtés de Pablo Picasso. Artcurial les présentera au public pour la première fois à travers une tournée en Europe dans ses bureaux en Italie, à Monaco, en Belgique et à Paris.
On 17th May 2022, Artcurial will sell the Isabelle & Hervé Poulain Collection, a set of over 150 artworks dedicated to Amerindian culture, during an auction entitled “The Native Americans as seen by Europeans 1800-1960”.
Artcurial is pleased to welcome the Belgian gallery Maurice Verbaet in its new exhibition spaces at the Hôtel Marcel Dassault, from 12th to 22nd April 2022. The gallery will present an exceptional retrospective dedicated to Pierre Célice, the great master of Abstraction, which gathers about forty artworks by the French artist.

From 17th January to 9th February 2022, Artcurial Belgium honored the work of Congolese artist Pili Pili Mulongoy. Entitled Pili Pili, a hymn to life, this cultural exhibition, which was open to the public without charge, highlighted some fifteen works from a private Belgian collection, which were shown to the public for the first time.
Very good results for the five large-size works by Pierre Alechinsky that were shown in a preview exhibition at Artcurial in Brussels from 19 to 26 November 2021. These paintings were part of the Post-War & Contemporary auctions in Paris on 8 December 2021.

For its second session of the year in the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Artcurial achieved a fantastic auction week dedicated to Jewellery, Watches, Hermès & Luxury bags, Motorcars and Monaco Sculptures, with several records and a strong presence of international collectors. With a sales total of €21.5M, the auction house confirmed its leadership position in the Principality.
This exceptional acrostic bracelet, which most probably belonged to Queen Louise-Marie of Belgium, was sold in a bidding war for over €70,000 in July 2021 in Monaco. Made of 18k yellow gold, the bracelet held eight finely chiselled souvenir medallions set with fine stones to compose the first names of members of the family of the first King of the Belgians. On opening, the medallion reveals a miniature eye in the style of the painter Winterhalter. This gold bracelet was part of a set of six jewels from a European princely collection.
Artcurial beats the world record for an original comic book board with The Blue Lotus by Hergé! On Thursday 14th January, Artcurial offered this exceptional work at auction, never seen before on the market: the project by Hergé for the cover of the original edition of The Blue Lotus, a 1936 album of Tintin. The work was sold for €3.2 M, also becoming Hergé’s new world record.
