Hermès Vintage — Une histoire d’homme III
31 March 2010
Artcurial | Briest - Poulain - F. Tajan is responsible for inventing Hermès Vintage sales, which have become unmissable events for collectors and fans all around the world. The firm is now developing its expertise in Vintage by creating a new department, Vintage and Collections, to establish the auction house more firmly at the heart of the collectables and vintage market.
The firm, and its specialist Cyril Pigot, have solid reputation in these fields. In fact, proceeds from Hermès Vintage sales at Artcurial | Briest - Poulain - F. Tajan have grown steadily since the first in 2007, the most recent recording €806,725, with 86 % of lots sold. The annual balance sheet for 2009 recorded a rise of 72 % compared with 2008 (€2,131,311 compared with €1,240,508). With the continuation of the Une Histoire d’Homme series of auctions, which are dedicated to various aspects of the world of the contemporary gentleman, the firm is once again demonstrating its capacity to create original and unmissable events.
