Again this year, the Orientalist Paintings department, led by Olivier Berman, showed its world-leading position with 4 new world-records, which add up to the previous 11 achieved during the last 4 years: Mohammed Racim, Bernard Boutet de Monvel, Georges Washington and Maurice Bouviolle and a total of 3 Million euros.

As these exceptional results have shown, Paris remains the major hub for this market. We observe a high demand on artists such as Cruz Herrera, Dinet, Majorelle, Brest, Washington, Iacovleff, Ernst, Roubtzoff, Girardet, Boutet de Monvel, Gharbaoui, Cherkaoui, Deutsch, Pasini and Ziem.
