Design

Creation in the 20th and 21st centuries - from the domestic landscape to Designer furniture.

Under Artcurial Associate Director Fabien Naudan, the department has become market-leader for European design within three years of its launch.

Iconic pieces from the 20th century rub shoulders with the latest contemporary creations in the exciting themed sales Naudan has pioneered. After the ground-breaking Light is More sale devoted to lighting and Ingo Maurer came Black, a sale inspired by the color black in the domestic landscape - was the first across-the-board sale to unite Design, contemporary art and photography. After the unique Chandigarh project sale of furniture designed by Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier for the mythical Punjabi capital, our Al Dente! sale combining Design, contemporary art, photography and Italian jewelry will be held on 26 June 2007. Then, in April 2008, Artcurial will be staging Modern Design for Living a sale based on the work of Pierre Jeanneret, Le Corbusier & Robert-Mallet Stevens.
