Furniture & Decorative Objects
Furnishings & exceptional items from the Renaissance to Napoleon III
In conjunction with expert Roland de L’Espée, the department holds sales of furniture and works of art from the Renaissance to the Second Empire, including the grandiose productions of the 18th and early 19th centuries.
Highlights to date include the Jean Rossignol Collection, the Château du Martinet, the Ledoux Lebard estate, and the collection of a porcelain connoisseur.
Our success in this field mirrors the development of pre-20th century art in general at Artcurial, as shown by the exceptional results posted by our Fine Arts department in 2006, when overall sales doubled to reach €13.8m.
